Perhaps the most fun of the bathroom design trends of 2022 are those that include colors and interesting visual elements. We’re seeing lots of articles from national publications mention wall murals and wall paper. Others share images of bathrooms with patterned tiles on the wall. What colors? We’re seeing a lot of blues and shades of pink.
The Wet Room
For quite some times we’ve advocated for walk in showers in larger bathrooms. More recently one of our favorite bathroom design trends is that of the wet room. It, again, only works in larger bathrooms but we love it. A wet room is where a portion of your bathroom is tiled and blocked off from the rest. A freestanding tub and the showerhead or showerheads are located in the space together.
Storage Solutions
Cabinet manufacturers have heard what the people need and that’s storage solutions for the bathroom. Floor to ceiling cabinets that act like linen closets but provide better usable space, drawers with outlets and spaces for your curling iron and hair dryer are a few of options we love.
Nature
There are many ways you can bring nature into your bathroom. Natural light, is one of our favorites. Especially through windows you can actually see out of. Other options are more natural stone like marble shower floors and walls or even stone veneer walls. Of course, nothing is more nature than live plants which thrive in the humid environment of the bathroom.
