About Us

Jim MacholzJamco Unlimited Inc. was established in 1995. Jamco stands for James Andrew Macholz Company. The “Unlimited” stands for the endless jobs he performs. Jim was born in Bristol, Connecticut and moved to Long Island 11 years later, staying there for 11 years. He earned his Mechanical Engineering degree and ran his own remodeling company on Long Island before moving to Florida.

After remodeling Countryside Mall, setting all the glass and frames in Airside F at Tampa International Airport, and building several stilt homes in Point Seaside (Crystal Beach), Jim started his own handyman company in Safety Harbor. In 2007, he earned both his Certified Building Contractors License and his National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) Certified Remodeler certification. He has vast experience in all aspects of remodeling, with an emphasis on room additions and specializing in kitchen and bath remodeling.

Jim was featured in the October 2009 issue of Architecture Builder magazine for the design and installation of a custom vertical spa built in a customer’s house.

Today, Jim designs, purchases, and installs kitchens and baths throughout the tri-county area. He sells all different kinds of cabinets from builders-grade to total custom, and standard bathrooms to fully custom bathrooms. His vast knowledge of the kitchen and bath industry is second to none.

Jamco is in the process of remodeling their showroom to bring on the new green line of products so sought after these days.

Another member of Jamco is Thomas Watkins who brings 30 years of experience and has worked side by side with Jim for 28 years. Tom owns Watkins Custom Trim Inc., established in 1990. Tom and Jim met framing large stilt homes on the Gulf of Mexico in Pinellas County. Tom honed his skills on interior trim work and installation of doors, moldings (including crown of all sizes), and building custom circular staircases. After a few years of working on jobs together, Tom joined with Jim doing kitchen and bath remodels where they both excel as a team. With Tom’s 30 years of experience, they’re a tag team that’s second to none! That is why they call themselves the “BATH & KITCHEN MAGICIANS”.
